December 31, 2006 - New Website Framework

Today is the official release of the enhancements made to the Chora-Strangers website.

The framework, or content management system, that this site uses is called Drupal. This framework provides a vast list of added functionality over a small core of standard operability. The web developer adds the necessary modules to get the desired functionality. We have added only what is really needed so the site maintains a quick response time.

The site design is essentially the same as the one released on January 23, 2005, with some minor adjustments. We liked the way the previous version looked, and so this version is merely a refinement of that design. Now there is much more structure embedded, so making changes will be quite a bit easier.
